Sovereign Grand Inspector General's Message

Greetings!

Recently we sent out a video, to non-Scottish Rite Masons throughout Kentucky, to help them understand the purpose and teachings of Scottish Rite Freemasonry. The video offers a rich history in regards to Scottish Rite Masonry in Kentucky along with a visual explanation of how the degrees are conferred or communicated, and what it takes to join the Scottish Rite. You will journey through the history, beginning in 1801, learn of the men who helped form the Scottish Rite, and those who have maintained its Integrity thoughout our rich history. Witness the testimonies of several prominent Men, including Country Music Icon, Brad Paisley, explain why they are proud to be a Scottish Rite Mason.

In other news, we have a One Day State Wide Reunion. This Reunion will be held at the Valley of Louisville Scottish Rite Temple, 200 East Gray Street, Louisville KY, on Saturday April the 14th, 2012. This is a special One Day Class that will feature the degree work conferred by all 4 Valleys; Covington, Lexington, Madisonville, and Louisville. The Valley of Madisonville will be the host Valley, even though it will be held in Louisville. The Valley of Madisonville was the Home of the brother whom the Reunion will be held in honor of - the late Illustrious George Effinger 33 PGM, Past Sovereign Grand Inspector General in KY.

To join the Scottish Rite you must:
1). Be a Master Mason in good standing.
2). Complete a petition.
3). Attend a ‘Reunion” where the Scottish Rite Degrees are being conferred.

We would love to see you included in the upcoming April 14th, State Wide One Day Reunion. Don’t miss this great opportunity. If you are unable to attend the April 14th Reunion, please contact your local Valley, for Reunion dates available in your area, or feel free to contact me at 502-599-1713 or by email at graphicimages06@hotmail.com
